Our friendly and welcoming writing group members meet on the first Tuesday of the month to share their interest in writing. Why not come along?
The Hengistbury Writers began as a result of the first Hengistbury Head Writing Competition, and the group has been involved with the competition ever since. The competition is in its 7th year in 2021 - this year's theme is 'Touching The Wild'.

The Hengistbury Writers Group is open to anyone with an interest in writing, from those who have already had writing published to those who are just starting out. The group's monthly meetings are friendly and helpful gatherings, where the members can read out work they have written if they want to, and receive helpful comments and advice. The group also carry out little writing exercises to improve their skills, and share their knowledge and experiences of writing. They have also organised and led some writing events in the past, with more hoped onec Covid restrictions lift.
So, if you already write, or are interested in writing, be it poetry, articles, short stories, novels or something else, then why not come along and meet like-minded people. Meetings are usually on the first Tuesday of the month, online or, when restrictions ease, at Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre. For more information, please email email@example.com
