Wednesday 31st January, 1.30pm

How To Solve Cryptic Crosswords

Would you like to be able to solve cryptic crosswords but don't know where to start? Whether you are an absolute beginnner, or are looking to improve your solving skills, this introductory session will be ideal. Booking essential on 01202 128444  -  £6 per person.

 

Monday 5th February, 2pm

Introducing Aromatherapy

An introductory session with local aromatherapist Alison Jones. Find out how to use essential oils safely, their indvidual therapeutic values and benefits, and the many ways they can used in and around the home. Booking essential on 01202 128444. £6 per person. Event takes place in the Visitor Centre.

 

Thursday 8th February, 10.30am to 12.30pm

Winter Poetry

A guided nature walk on Hengistbury Head, with winter poems along the way. We will be looking for tracks and signs, galls, birds and more. As we walk, we will hear poems by Robert Frost, Christina Rosetti, John Clare, Charlotte Mew and many more. If you have a favourite winter poem, do bring it along. Booking essential on 01202 128444  -  £6.50 per person, including a hot drink and a biscuit or two!

 

Friday 15th March, 10.30am to 12.30pm

Signs of Spring

As winter comes to an end we will be looking for signs of spring  -  bird song, flowers, butterflies and more. Meet at the visitor centre. £6.50 per person including a hot drink and a biscuit. Phone 01202 128444 to book.

Take a look at our full 'Performing the Past' events programme, where you can take part in events, guided walks and activities showing Hengistbury Head as a scene of settlement and ceremony for more than twelve thousand years.

All walks will start at 10am and last up to 2 hours. These events are free with no need to book. Please note that these are not Council-led walks.
