The Centre is popular with school visits, so please book ahead
Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve provides a special and unique location for education, offering outdoor activities within the heart of a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Our education and engagement team can guide your school group through curriculum-linked sessions for KS1-2 designed to inspire learning and engage all learners with the natural world. From river studies to pond dipping, our activities provide a varied and hands-on approach to learning.
Our topics include:
- Pond dipping
- Minibeasts (April - September)
Arranging your visit
Due to the sensitive nature of the site and to avoid clashing, if you are planning on coming to Hengistbury Head as part of an independent visit please contact the Visitor Centre to inform us of your plans.
If you have a question or would like to book a session with us, please contact Emily Fergusson, Engagement Coordinator, or call the centre on 01202 451618 and ask for Emily.
