50th anniversary exhibition
50 years on, the land train is still transporting visitors from one end of the nature reserve, to the other. Here's how we celebrated.
Throughout 2018, we celebrated 50 years of the land train taking generations of passengers between the Hiker Cafe and Mudeford Spit.

The Hengistbury land train at 50. 50 years of joy, headlines and nostalgia
Our exhibition showcased photographs and information from the past 50 years. With help from the relatives of the land train's founders, we're piecing together as much as we can to help paint the picture from 1st April 1968 to the present day.
Commemorative play equipment
We commissioned a fabulous piece of play equipment to keep the little ones entertained whilst they wait for to come and collect them from the Broadway terminus (by the Hiker Cafe).
